caliper braket bolts??

i recently bought a 1 1/2" lowering kit for my 97' cobra. i lifted the car and took off the wheels. when i started to take off the front calipers, i noticed the caliper bracket bolts were rounded off. i decided to stop the installation until i could replace the bolts. so i called the dealership to get replacements. holy $#*% they cost $11 dollars. so i decided to find bolts else where cause i haven't got $44 to spend on four bolts. i called fastenal and they told me they could get the bolts i needed, but i don't know the grade of the bolts. i believe they may be grade 8. i did at least get some specs on the bolts. the dealership said they didn't know what grade they were. if anyone knows the grade of these bolts please reply. the specs, remember these are for a 97' cobra, not for sure of any other year models. if anyone needs them are as follows. m12 x 1.75 thread pitch x 35mm length flange bolts. grade and tensile strength unknown.

jesus $11?! im not sure on the specs but would the GT's have the same bolts? i know we have 13 in disc and all that but fords so cheap they probably used the same fastners and crap. I would try a junk yard or look at the GT's stuff. Whats on your cobra man?

metric bolts that are graded usually have the grade marked on the head most likely 10.9 in this case. but the bigger question should be why would you cheap out on brake parts? use the right stuff. 44 dollars wouln't seem like so much if a bolt brakes & you crash your car.

I got my shifter bezel ring free from a junkyard. I came home and looked it up and it was $60+shipping. cha-ching!!!!!

i agree with 4point6 and fairlane 68 just go to the junkyard and get that sh*t. it would be stealing but who cares we all do it from time to time. plus u need it..and 97S281..thats a damn good deal..lol

called fastenal and got all four bolts for less than $10. they are grade 10.9 and are the exact specs as factory.

junkyards lol. i had a friend who went to the junkyard back home for a brake light assembly and came back with a free tranny for his truck. how he got that in his pocket no-one will ever know.

I went to one, one time and it was free to get in when we tried to leave the old guy was trying to charge us $5 to get out.But me and my buddie were looking at each other like why? its free to get in,he then replyed its for the stuff thats in your pockets.We looked at each other and laffed and said we don't have anything in our pockets.The old man looks at s and says Thats your fault.
