You sure its aluminum and not painted plastic? It looks identical to stock except the color. I would bang on it with a wrench to listen for a thud or a ping. You can get aluminum versions of the stock intake somewhere, not really worth it unless you are doing the PI swap and running nitrous. Does it have the PI swap?

That's a PI intake painted silver. You can see where the composite (black) is showing around the COP hold down bolt holes and the plastic plug in the lower front of the intake.

That's the facts......... Yes.

However, it looks like the earlier PI design with the composite front water jacket. You can be for sure by scratching it with a knife....

I had to repost about the color. The car looks awesome. I love the blue- I think I have found a new best color.

NICE!!!!!

looks like all you need is a of couple bolts to hold the rear of that sweet strut tower brace down and your set. Looks like someone definately took care of this car.

Replace that intake with the one that has the aluminum coolant crossover. Those were under a recall from Ford, but has since expired. 7 years or 100,000 miles was the limit. Those plastic intakes crack and rupture right behind the alternator. Get it from Summit...they have the best price on them.

And +1 on losing the 4.6 badges. Looks a little too 80's.

ANd your part number is right there above the fuel rail. Looks to be the original, or had been replaced under warranty.

car's looking good man =) now just lower it, stick some wheel spacers on the back and you're set. i will say though that doesn't look like the original paint. you can see in the engine bay the blue is faded a bit more around the fender wells and such than on the outside and on the strut tower brace (looks like they repainted the car its original color and threw the leftover paint on the brace). either way, slick looking car. i wish i had the polished rims on mine. they look good.
