well the car isn't stock so i'm sure when tuned it should put about 250-275 down to the wheels

A good imagination is putting down that power... lol

Great tuner in your area Steen racing , talk to Jason.
Real world numbers for that combo are 220-235 rwhp tops, the injectors , mass air and fuel pump are not big power mods. However ported heads, aftermarket cams and a power adder would net you better power for your intake/fuel system but would be limited. You've blown a few hundred dollars on go faster parts but need to work more on the basics, you can make over 300rwhp on your 19# injectors which makes the maf useless 0rwhp and the BBK (junk) chrome cai only add heat to your intake charge= 0 in the real world..
I may sound cocky and I am sorry if I offended anyone but BS is BS.

well like i said it was an estimate and i do know what the car runs in the 8th, a friend used to own i know what the car ran n/a and what it ran on n20 so judging by the numbers at the track. it was satisfying for a GT, i do realize a GT is not that powerful. and i dont plan on keeping the 2v motor, i plan i swapping a 4v eventually, i would just like to see how much a tune would help this car run. it right now goes 8.88 on motor and went a 8.42 on a 100 dry shot

you still havent stated your mods

a stock 99-04 GT wont put down 250 to the wheels
i know that aint no 96-98 GT stock or sligthly modded will put that down
id even say a full bolt on 96-98 GT wont put down 250-275 to the wheels

my guess. running 8.88 in the 1/4 is mid 14s about...so thats like new edge numbers

220 rwhp is your numbers about

how much can a tune help it? say you make it run a little more lean than stock. would that help with torque, hp, both?

if u ran it 87 octane. how much can you get out of a stocker 96?
