Thud coming from underneath my car. Help

I got a 96 mustang gt. Its not lowered or anything but when i go to take off i let out of the clutch and take off, but when i do i hear and feel this thud that seems to be right under my seat. It doesnt happen while im driving just when i take off. Could it be a tranny mount issue? I dunno. please help

its gotta be a problem somewhere in your drivetrain. get under there and take a look make sure nothings loose. do you notice any other problems example in clutch? shifting?

they are cheap and rather easy to replace.
Personally I would just get the Aluminum drive shaft while I am under there anyway.

if you have an aftermarket o/r h-pipe sometimes they have fitment issues and slap the tranny cross member. check the clearance on that and def u-joints.

When i bought my 97 six years ago it needed a new tranny mount and u joints. Check them both, but i'd bet $ it's your u joints.

I'd be checking the engine or tranny mounts, if an engine or tranny mount is bad the "thud" could be from the trans or exhaust hitting the floor or trans tunnel
