Opinions, rebuild or buy bigger?

Going to have some down time, the car had to be towed home. Alternator (brand new) pulley came off and fried. Melted and probably ruined the alt.

Anyways my KB has been leaking oil enough to put some in every week. Its leaking on the inside. So would need a seals rebuild... Its about 700 dollars. And probably 100-150 dollars to ship one way. Or should i just spend 2000 dollars and get a 2.6.

Rebuilding is going to end up being 1000 dollars if everything goes well. Should i sell mine (or try too) cheapish since needing rebuild? Wouldn't come with everything... Some peices would have to be made or found. Would have alternator bracket and intercooler (just not hosing and that kind of thing). Could i get anything out of it?

im forged. Have all mods to support high boost minus heads. But they have stainless steel shit in there. Just not p&p.

Another down side with total upgrade is new intake and TB. Think i could get 600-900ish from it? I have some of the pulleys and little stuff too. Since i did the 8 rib upgrade.

Depends on what power output your looking to get from the car.

More on getting it working with the least amount of hassle.

Think im just going to call them for options and rebuild. The 2.6 would need a lot of odds and ends if i just buy the blower. I thought it would be a drop in. Need the iac and egr and that kind of thing from the cobra.
