Mach 1?

You'd have a vent-shaped hole in it. If you mean the anniversary edition Mach 1 Mustangs, they have a distinctive overhead intake with a black air dam that pokes through the shaker hood, without that overhead set up rain would pour down onto your supercharger..not good believe me I had to vaccum a waterlogged engine last year. I love the SVT hoods myself, to me my car actually looks like a snake with nostrils...but the Cobra R hood is nice for a different look, and there are several different aftermarket custom designed fiberglass and carbon fiber hoods to choose from...but be careful, you'll regret buying a cheap crappy hood.

I own a Mach and I'm flattered you Cobra guys want to look like us. But unless you want to raise that supercharger up above the sqaured out port of the Mach hood I don't think it will work.

re

Are you talking about the factory Mach 1 hood from 03- 04
or the aftermarket hood called the Mach 1?
There is an aftermaket hood I see advertised called The Mach series
that doesn't use a shaker, that would fit no problem.
To use the actual Mach 1 hood takes some fabricating because you have to put a plate under the whole and mount a false shaker to it.
I've seen it done, but it's not easy to make it look right.

I've seen it at a couple car shows/cruise ins in Indiana.
The best one had fiberglass plate to fill the hole and one of the factory
hood seals trimed to cover the plate and the shaker bolted from undernieth
He also had the drain hole with tube in place so water would drain instead of puddeling in the area around the shaker.
One of the cars was an actual Mach 1 that had been super charged with a wipple,
the other was a GT with combined body parts from an R and Mach 1
but it had an "old School" pushrod motor under the hood.
I don't know either of these guy's personaly.
I checked on a few of the local club sites and have not been able to
find a pic to link to for you. If I come accross one I'll try to get it here
for you.
Do you have any custom shops in your neighborhood?

Orangeblast on the mach1registry put an Eaton charger from a Cobra on his Mach. He bolted the top of the shaker scoop to the hood which allowed enough room for the pulley. It was very well done. I think I may still have some pics of it at home.

What year and color is your car? I'd love to buy that hood if it looks good and it's close enough to go get. I don't mind a road trip for a good deal.
