8 rib AC delete?

I know Riechard racing has an adjustable one but it's an arm and a leg.

I like the price of the Ford racing kit but they only come in a 6 rib. Is there another alternative or an 8 rib idler pulley that will fit on the ford racing bracket?

Thanks.

Just do the whole delete like im going to do in that other thread. If not just take the pulley off and find an idler pulley (it fits) Just have to get a different size belt, its like 2 or 3 inches different. You would have to measure the pulley difference.

I have a Vortech SC and it won't route correctly.

I gotcha, yeah mine still routes ok with the KB. The alt was relocated, and i have 2 idlers for the kb on each side that makes sure i have belt wrap.

Just search for an idler pulley. Needs to be 90mm for an 8 rib. I used a smooth one (even though it should be ripped, its fine never jumped on me once). Worked fine since i couldn't find one. Just measure the difference of the size of the pulley and get a new belt.

George, it's for a 1995 up, 7.3 Super Duty, wthout A/C and I can get it inna' day or 2, now it comes wth a brkt, just like the Modular A/C delete kit and all you'll do is swap-out the pulley....

LOL, All you guys gotta' do is ask me

George, so you Dont have the 6 rib delete kit and you'll need both? if thats the case, all I have access to is the oem Ford Motorcraft 6 rib delete kit, (sorry, no Frpp here) which was discontinued by FoMoCo @ a year ago, but I have one left and it'll take a day toget the 8rib A/C delete kit, so your looking at @$169.00 for both A/C delete kits wth s&h....

So you want 79 just for an 8 rib pulley? Do you know the size of the mounting boss?

Hey jive i found one for ya. I cant directly link it. Its basically an A/C delete for a f-150 harley. So you could pull the pulley off that one (if unit doesnt fit it looks close). Its 30 bucks. Follow my links/direction! Those will be the tabs.

You figure out your car issues yet? I don't think either of us will ever be free of them. First one to a (mostly) working car should get a prize or something haha.

Well I sent my chip in to have the PATS turned off because the tuner said the only other that ever acted that way had a bad ECU. I get the the dashes acrossed the odometer. This is usually what happens when the ecu is off line of the chip is lose or bad. if he can read the tune it means the chip is still good and it's the ecu. I also have an extra crank sensor laying somewhere and plan on replacing it too.

I went to dorman's site it it appears that the delete fits just about ever modular engine truck since 98. It might just bolt right on. If not I'll just return it. Hell it's only 30 bucks.

something doesn't sound right guys why would it be listed for a 2003 F150 H/D truck when that same engine combo has been in use since 1997
