what can i expect to run at the track?


i am going to the track in about a week and was wondering at what times for me i should be looking for. i have a stock 2002 gt 5 spd and what is roughly the time i will run. ( thinking that everyhting goes well with my launch and shifting)

14.6 - 14.8 - For the first timers

14.1 - 14.59 - For someone with some seat time with the car...

13.90 - 14.09 For someone with alot of seat time and can drive like a effin champ...

14 flat

if your runnin normal radial street tires don't get in the waterbox you'll get water in the tread and it'll come out and cause you to spin.

just do a "street" burnout drive around it and dump the clutch. thats what worked best for me when i ran my car stock.

yehp what wavebye said.

if its shitty tires they might even get oily if you spin em and get them to hott.

if they do get sticky at all you may want to drive around the box, the back in to only get the rears wet then heat em up. if you drive right through it, unless you have skinnys the street tires will just soak up the water like they're designed too and bring it out on the track so your rear tires are going to follow the same line and have no traction lol
