There's ways to make them work. I know there was a lot of talk on here before about this. I would post this in the Electronics section btw

I have had starters go out and dead batteries. Push start has a whole different meaning to me.

Yeah, they just say its for the 05-09's cuz of the location (it's easily mountable in those years). Push starts, FOR THE MOST PART, all work the same...

The wiring should be the same (maybe different colored wires). All you're doing is wiring another switch in parallel with the original starter switch.

You could wire it so that you just have to push the button and it'll start. The only problem with that is the whole security issue.

some newer cars (i dont think ford though) have it where you can have the key in your pocket and hit the button... works off of proximity (spelling?) sensors...

My friend put a little almost "keypad" in that would replace him turning the key. So when he would get in the car he'd type a passcode (i'm not sure if it was like 4 digits or what) then that would in a sense "turn the ignition to on mode" then he could press his push to start. No key but safe

He's real tech savy. I am too but he's ridiculous. Don't know really where he got the part for it...?? I'll have to ask him some time when I see him again.

So would you have to remove the ignition switch or replace it? Because I am 99 percent sure the steering wheel will stay locked unless the key is turned.
