Vortech S trim


I decided next tax return im going to waste my money on a cheap Supercharger,since ill never be able to afford a cobra,I found a brand new satin vortech non intercooled s trim for $2500,
1) Is this a good /cheap supercharger
2)what will the s trim bring my RWHP too,the add say's it will give me 104 RWHP
3) cood i possible hit 11's with dr's
4)how hard is it to install thanks

any good bad info will be help full

oh i got 116k,is this bad with boost

the vortec is a good s/c, make sure the one you are looking at is the complete s/c.

ive got a vortech v2 sq non intercooled, on basically a stock car except for a bbk x pipe and flows, with 3:73's. i dynoed at 320RWHP and 330 RWTQ thats on an automatic car with a very conservative tune for the time being. Just to give you an idea

thats seems real low,id want at least 370 rwhp of the s trim,is that possbile

there is still room out of it. i will be re dynoing it in the summer time once i add my headers and power pipe to it and possible intercooler amd i will see what happens there i can let you know. at that point it wont be so conservative it was my dd but now it isnt. you should easily be able to hit ther 370 mark with the supporting mods. ie full exhaust, t-body/ plenum

its an auto dude there is a 20% lose through the converter.. if you have the supporting intake mods, and you will have to be at about 8-9 psi of boost and get a power pipe you can get there easily ass for running 11s no.. you are a vert and you are heavey as hell.. i have a friend that had a s trim on his vert.. he was at 430 to the wheels on the stock bottom end all day long.. he was an auto those and have 4:10s,built tranny with transbrake and manual valve body.. with alot of weight reduction(back seat,passenger seat,sway bar,everything in trunk, top motor, he went 11.7s constantly.. you should be at about mid 12s around 12.7.. depending on what tires and rims you will have.. but you can do it

I am making 406rwhp @ 11lbs, check the MF p/a 1/4 list, many have run 11s with less power than i'm making.

I made 370 on my stock Bullitt without pushing it. My best run was a 12.08.
11's where to be had but I went the built motor route and YSI before I could find out. I tell everyone the S trim was the best mod I ever bought. Made me smile every time I drove her.

yeah it can be done easily.. but he has a vert so for him to do it.. would be suspension.. and weight reduction

It's throuhg an auto and is probably making an average of 6 psi if it has a stock pulley. Most making 370 have other mods and and pushing 8-10 psi.

Mine only made 347/353 at first now it's supporting 600.

16.5 but that's through a a ported and cammed motor with full 3" exhaust. So there's less restriction than a stock motor.

just wondering u guys keep saying how heavy my vert is,stock/stock its only 100 pounds heavier then the coupe,dont tell me that 100 pounds makes that big of a differance

Well it's a know fact the run slower in the 1/4 and doesn't handle as well because the chassis is not as stiff.

i made 344, went 12.06. i went up 25 hp shot and went 11.7. it can be done with 370rwhp, and being a vert and automatic.

Ken B at mod depot went 10.8x with 360 rwhp na with a 2v. But it was pretty well gutted. So weight and setup is half the battle.
