|
HELP with thermostat housing
do the bolts on both sides of the thermostat housing go into the head? I dont have my car around or i would look for myself the reason i ask is because neither of the hole are threaded on the manifold. My buddy says they dont but its the only way possible am i wrong?

No they do not go in the head. They screw into the crossover on the intake.

i dont have a crossover its all one piece and there is no threads where the bolts go through the thermostat and into the intake manifold

Well we use the same heads so I didn't think it would. See you should have researched on your own to begin with. Maybe they do on mine just never noticed.

the housing bolts go thru the intake and into the cylinder heads...thats why your suppose to use some Anti-Seize on the bolt threads, to prevet galling of the threads...
