4.6L max flow?
I've got all the forged internals built for 1000+ hp i'm just wanting to know what do you guys think the max amount of fuel/air this motor will flow. trust me its built for whatever i want to throw at it.
i'm wanting 1000rwhp and planning on putting twin 67mm turbos on it @ 25lbs of boost but i'm told the engine will only flow enough to make 850rwhp. i wanna see if anyone has had someone they know prove this theory wrong. i want proven facts, not i know a dude who's friend's brother's cousin's next door neighbor kinda shit.

4.6 SOHC right?
I have been told 850 - 900... I really have not seen anyone go over the 850rwhp yet...The heads are the flaw... |

If You are really looking to make that much power two words come to mind BIG BORE. The is enough flow in the heads to see 1000 rwhp if you can unshroud the valves. My SVO heads flow 286/210 which is more than sufficient for the power and as good as most 4 valve heads. Also I would suggest running staggered size turbos this will help you on the small end and having a 2nd larger turbo will give you what your looking for to make 1000. Cam selection is another area, choosing the wrong cam will cause you to lose power. You will have to order custom cams there is no way around it.
Don't get caught up in flow numbers to much, a head can flow 500cfm and be junk. The overall head needs velocity as well as flow for the air to properly enter and leave the combustion chamber. If there is to much flow it can actually disrupt the air speed and slow velocity if the port is not shaped to handle it. You are going to need to find someone who has experience custom porting heads for a turbo motor to insure you get the maximum out of your combination. If you have the supporting parts you could make 1000 rwhp +. I am making 800 BHP on 17psi on a mild tune on the engine dyno. So I know it can be done as I alot left in the motor, hell it is not even broke in yet...

My shortblock between machine work and parts was over $6000, heads were another $2700, making that power is not going to be cheap. Trust me on one thing, it is better to only build once. I had $6000 worth of parts trashed because I skimped on rods and heads and learned the hard way. Go bullitt proof or don't do it at all< best advice !!!!!!!

Sorry the rods may handle that kind of power, but it may only be a limited amount of time. The overall plan will effect the final outcome, just speak to the manufacturerto be safe.......

Easy answer, Yes it will. It will cost for sure but can be done, again flow is not what to look for.. efficiency is the word.
