Spoiler Question

Ok I think our New Edge cars look awesome without the rear spoiler, and I want to do the same to my 02' GT.
My question is that when you take the wing off, does it leave any holes in the deck lid? If so, what's a good way to fill them without going to a body shop.

Most people just buy plugs for the holes, but I would recommend filling them and having it painted. It just looks better, although if you use plugs, you always have the option to put the spoiler back on. 9 times out of ten you will have scratches or some kind of mark where the spoiler sits after you take it off.

Yeah, you'll have 4-6 holes depending on the spoiler. You will also have "tan lines" depending on how much sun your car has gotten. Plugs are usually the cheapest/easiest way, you can also get a paint that's similar and paint them to make them less noticeable.

currently I have plugs in also, if you go that route dab a little silicone on the neck of the plugs to insure a good water tight seal. I am going to get mine filled and sprayed, I didn't have tan lines since the car is white but I did have oval marks from where the spoiler was, a little rubbing compound, and some wax took it out mostly, still can see the ovals when the sun hits it the right way

Thanks for the help. I think I'm gonna get them filled instead of the plugs. How much would something like that cost at a body shop?
Also, about the tan lines, would they show up a lot on a Mineral Gray car that has been a Massachusetts car for all 50k miles? I'm not sure if it has been driven in the snow, or if it would matter. I do have to drive it the snow this winter though. WHOOPIE!!! NOT
