I hate the gap on mine! I cant wait to do a tranny sway and remove that! I would think the spacing on the Viper-spec would have to be much better than than the stock, must be nice putting around in 6th on the highway too.

The 4th gear on pretty much ALL manual transmissions is 1:1. The 5th gear of all the 5 speed Mustang transmissions, is about .68. I chose the #1260 specifically because ITS 5th gear is .8 and the 6th is .62.
I can find no difference between the previous 5th gear and the current 6th, but that .8 is right smack dab in the middle and absolutely WONDERFUL for cruising between 50~60 MPH with a reasonable RPM for acceleration ![]() Jazzer

Is there any specific driveshaft safety loop anyone would recommend for a similar setup to this? Specifically due to the larger diameter aluminum driveshaft. Should I just go with a cheap summit trapezoid shaped one? Jegs?

I made my own, but was really a TA safety loop, but will support the driveshaft as well. I have a picture of it somewhere and will see if I can find it.... BRB
*Stairway To Heaven (muzak version plays here* ![]() I removed the carpet and wrapped a piece of 1/8"x1.25" steel over the top of the tunnel so is EXTREMELY strong and will have no issues supporting the TA should it break at some point. Look around and will find something that will fit your ride, or just make one. It does not have to be as strong as mine as there is no longer a load on it after it would break. It will thrash around a bit, but you will lose your go-go juice immediately ![]() Jazzer
