My new MGW shifter

I installed my new MGW shifter last night and it is a lot better than my stock one but I was expecting the throws to be a little shorter so I am wondering if there is any way to adjust it, I have an 02 GT.

Thanks

yeah when i installed my short throw i thought the throws would be more shorter as well. Instead the Accuracy was just 100% better which is good.

But is what i did, I just shortened the handle and that made the throw shorter. So if your handle is adjustable i would make it as short as possible to your liking. I made mine go as short as it can possibly go. I have a UPR Shifter though not MGW, but if im not mistaken MGW is adjustable as well.

Why pictures? I can only post the pictures of how it looks, would that help?.

As far as I know it can be adjusted at a 360 degree angle meaning that you can bring the handle closer to you.

Does anyone has sugestions on how to make the throws shorter on the MGW?

You can take out the rubber stop on the base of the shifter and push the orange handle all the way down. I cut threads off the part where the knob goes to make it shoter.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but by doing that I'll be shortened the handle. Would that help make the gears shorter? Because the hadle is perfectly fine the way it is.

I meant that when I shift gears the throws are not as short as I thought they will be and that's why I said "shorten gears". Did I clearify your question?

dse- I don't think you can physically shorten the throw anymore than what the MGW will provide. You can make it "feel" like it's shorter by shortening the actual length of the shifter but then you'll have to reach farther forward. If you put your stock shifter back on you'll notice just how much shorter the throw is now with the MGW.

Thanks for the info I just wanted to know if it was possible. I read somewhere that you could adjust that by turning some bolts on the transsmision. but I guess that doesn't apply for my transsmision.
