Yes, you need a tune for this upgrade.

If you replaced with identical parts, you may not, but a good tune will get some nice gains as well as smoother running engine. Why do you think you need one? Were you told yours is cracked or has some sort of issue?

I had mine replaced from stock 65mm to a 70mm one with new plenum and gained 10hp/10t. This, of course, will vary by tuner, but wasn't a huge benefit for the cost I payed. If you go larger, you would likely see additional gains.

no, you don't need a tune for those parts. you'll be fine without them. a tune will help you get the most out of them, but your car will run just fine without getting tuned for a throttle body and plenum...

If all i had was a TB and Plenum I would not recommend a tune. You could by a handheld tuner and tell the company your mods and they will take everything into account. But unless you have the money, i would nt. I did nt buy a tuner untill i got cammed, but i have heard there are decent gains with one on a lightly modified engine.

yeah it would be a waste of your money to tune just a TB and plenum.

As many have suggested, a tune is not necessary if you just get a TB/Plenum or even a CAI. I would wait until you have all the modifications you want to do in place and do the tune last.

I know the Saleen tune is much better than stock, but Brad @ RPM was able to smooth it out.

***HERE*** are the results.

Peace and Merry Christmas to all

Just browsing and found this thread...

I live near Diablo and they used my 00GT when it was bone stock, down to the air filter.

stock made 236 at the wheel, with 93 octane tune, 242 at the wheels... and 10 tq. gain.

My point is... get a tuner before the TB. It will net you more gains.
