Tork Tech build-up

Hi everyone, Im trying to round up all the parts im gonna need for a blower bulid up I plan on doing in the spring on my 02 GT.... I havnt purchased anything yet, I jus wanted to see if I was missing anything:
1. tork tech intercooled kit $4449
2. Spec stage 1 clutch $259
3. 3.73 gears $149 from late model resto
4. pypes violator cat back $359 from LMR
5. autometer boost/oil pres./water temp gauges roughly $72 per guage
6. guage pods $59 from LMR
7. Stage 8 header bolts $53 from LMR

I know I still need a set of NGK TR55s (Tork Tech recommends them), I have a set of bbk long tubes that im gonna put on while im there thats why I want the stage 8 bolts, I still need a catted x pipe though ( prefferably pypes brand) it needs to pass emissions so i need MIL eliminators and o2 sensor extensions right? ( if I need both where can I get them for a reasonable price?) My car has 73k miles on it so I was thinking about doing new pilot and throwout bearings along with a trak lok rebuild while I have the rear end apart....Im still unsure if im going to have one of my knowledgeable friends help me with it or take it to a shop....Ive been told if I take it to a shop to have the shop order all the necessary parts so that I couldnt be blamed if there was a problem. If im missing anything or you know of places where I can get better deals please let me know..thanks everyone!

haha, the wideband guages read the a/f mixture helps tune the vehicle when you take it to get tuned, its not necessary but if you want to keep an eye on your vehicle its a good guage to have, google PLX and you should get some stuff lol.

IMO I would get an oem ford heavy duty Throwout Bearing to use instead of the spec tob. I have yet to hear of someone using the spec one and it not going out prematurly, myself included.

get something better than a stage 1 clutch anyway...and gauges are basically electric now so it will cost more than 72 bucks for the gauges a peice and dont do water temp or oil.. so fuel pressure and wide band

i've never heard of tork tech blowers. what style is it? that seems a little expensive for an off brand blower. that should come with injectors, maf, tuner, fuel pump, and a tune for that price. how many psi are you going to run? you might want to go with the tr-6 plug, they are a step cooler and will be less likely to cause detonation. also, do NOT buy a spec stage 1 clutch. in fact you will want a stage 2 clutch because that spec 1 is only rated to 420lbs of torque, which your car will exceed at the crank. the spec stage one is a garbage clutch. the fidanza 2.1 is a good clutch, but there are quite a few different options as far as that goes. you won't need mil eliminators for a catted pipe, and even if it was off road you could turn the rear o2's off with the tuner. 3.73's are a good gear for a blower and you might as well rebuild your t-lok when you do the gears. the t-lok is usually only good for about 60k miles. the clutch you buy will come with a new pilot bearing and a TOB so don't worry about buying those seperate. as far as the install goes, if you're not mechanically inclined don't do the clutch. you shouldn't have too many problems with the blower install if you are somewhat savvy and you know how to follow the directions though. good luck!

I have heard some good things about them, but for 500 more you can get a 2.1 kb.

watch the video in the link and you will see the boost guage jump instantly to 6 psi and slowly climb to 10 psi, with a kb it will instantly jump to 9 psi(if it's the 9 psi kit) and may climb to 10

so no one is a fan of spec clutches? What dont you guys like about them? One of my friends is real big into 2.3 turbo cars and he swears by them. How are ram and centerforce clutches? As far as a tuner goes im pretty sure the kit comes with a chip loaded with a pretty safe tune. I dont know of anywhere in my area that I could have it dyno tuned. So since I most likely wont be buying a tuner I'll need MIL eliminators? and o2 sensor extensions? The gauges I want are AutoMeter Cobalt series 2 1/16" mechanical gauges. I might have to spring for the AF ratio electric gauge though...I'll see how the budget holds out lol I was going to do a fuel pressure gauge but I dont like the look of outside gauges (as stupid as that might sound). Thanks for all the replies guys..keep em comin!

Oh, one other thing, the kit requires that I either modify the stock hood and add their 5" extended hood scoop or I go with a cowl or cobra R hood...what do you guys think? The extended scoop looks like $h!t IMHO lol If I get a new hood (budget permitting...the longer scoop is $200...I want to go with a Cervinis hood) so cobra R or cowl?

Nobodies ever heard of the Magnuson 112? The intake is what they are selling. It allows you to bolt up a 112 or basically any 4v supercharger. You can get the intake for 2 grand or they throw the whole kit together for you for 3-5+ grand depending on the S/C you want and I/C vs non- I/C. Spec clutches are ok, its just the TOB that is crap, SpecII that is. Never had a stage I.
