E-brake Light comes on under hard accel.
What causes this? I also notice it when i stop fast, i understand that could be the ABS but why would it come on when i accel?

my moms 02 explorer had that problem. I cant remember what it was exactly. Wasnt anything major

Mine came on under moderatly hard braking. I checked the brake fluid and it was just a little low. I figured, what the hell, I'll top it off. Put some brake fluid in and it hasn't done it since.

Yes, brake fluid, and while you are at it check your brake pads and whatnot. After a while my light came on under acceleration and hard braking. I checked the fluid, thought it looked good but filled it slightly above the full line and it went away. I was informed by a half mechanic that its probably the brake pads being worn down too much, checked those and yep, needed some.

mine was doing the exact same thing but i knew my brakes needed changing just never got around to doing it, so when the brakes were changed it stopped doing that.

It's because the hard accelleration of the mustang freaks the shit out of the cars computer and tells you to stop going so fast and brake.
