Eibach pro kit? keep or not

I have some eibach pro kit springs for my car. I ordered them from americanmuscle.com a few months back but never installed them. Tomorrow or Saturday night my car will be up on a lift for a couple hours, and im wondering if i should throw them on or not. I am still not 100% sure where im going with my car, but I was wondering if I should keep them and throw them on, or get coil overs for the front and get whatever springs in the back to match what I want for my car. I do a bit of racing with my car, will be going to a track several times next year, and am wondering how much do these springs help/hurt my launch vs stock?

Hey, Dick

I hope you have the room required for your OTHER mod *fingers-crossed smiley* If you are going to get REAL serious about your racing, you are gonna want to go CO's all around.

It would be helpfull to run these new springs to give you an idea of the rate/pound spring you would want in future. If they were not too expensive, it may be worth it for the knowledge gained for future spring upgrades.

sell it asap. the kit suck for a daily driver. thats what is on my car. thats how i bought it. I hate it. Im more of a road race type of guy. While taking a nice sweeping right hand turn(off ramp) on the way home one day. i had a little problem due to those springs. the drivers spring in rather soft for corner carving i found out after my 275/40-17 made contact with the wheel well lip. I do have 10.5" dd bullitts though. anyways they suck for a dd.

hell if someone wants to put my new springs/shoskc on. ill give them my pro kit and the drag shocks.

^ I am not surprised you rubbed running a 275/40/18" on a hard turn

I run a 275/35/18" on my Winter wheels and rub liner on heavy bumps (my g/f and I can smell the rubber every time). They caught REAL bad on front-half of fender where facia meets as there was this big sheet metal lip there. I rolled it back and is fine now.

I run a pretty stout sway bar up front with 325# springs or so. Rears are 200# with stock sway bar. No need to go heavy springs and can be detrimental to handling on a street car if one goes to heavy.
