Just bought the new 18" chrome saleens!!! now tires ??
Yep, i just pulled the trigger on the 18" saleens! now im lookin for a drag radial. I need a good DR for 420 hp or so. I am debating between 315/30/18 ET's or the 305/35/18 nitto's. I do want them to hook hard and want to start going to the track after my next tune. What are the miles i can expect. I did a search on the ET's but didnt get much info. of course LOTS of peeps have the nittos but just wanting thoughts on the two. what about in the rain? My g/f is in the car ALOT also. Let me know!

you shouldn't use either of those tires in the rain. if you must drive with them on the street then get the nittos, there is less fenderwells... or wait, did i say that right? maybe its more fenderwells or walls. idk

uyou mean side wall?
Nittos are fine on the street if you dont act like a jack ass.... hell ive driven my car on ET Street Bias plys in the rain. and its fine if you dont get throttle happy

well i have an 07 AWD harley truck to drive in the rain. LOL but the mustang will be drove in the rain if it rains.

You picked up a nice set of wheels, but not the best choice for a set of DR's. You would be better served to pick up some 15"s so you can put some profile back there. Running 305/35's is as tall as I could recommend on an 18" wheel.
Is your car lowered? You will rub at least a little on the above tire during hard articulation of rear axle. Pick up a cheap set of 15"s and run some MT's back there. Just install them when heading to the track. HTH Jazzer
