NHRA Regs..

so, i'm going to be taking my car to the track this year. for all the guys here running 11.99 and faster, what saftey stuff are you required to have?

i just read on NHRA's website you need:

4 point roll bar
5 point racing harness
driveshaft hoop
scatter shield
battery cutoff
battery hold down

and a few other things..

are you guys running this stuff? are they pretty strict about the regs?

That was changed to 11.49 several years ago. I doubt you'll be effected

i was thinking about just taking my car to the track and running it until i get told that i need to upgrade..

As long as you don't get too crazy you'll be fine. Just bring a helmet....they like to see you wearing a helmet

sweet. pinks all out is coming to wa and i want to start racing my car.. i've never taken it to the track so i'm hoping to run some 11's with it.

You have to power to get well into the 11's. Just gotta get her to hook

my friend has some 15x8 prostars he said i can have and i'll put some et streets on them.. and i plan on some lower control arms as well. that should get me a good 60ft.. i hope i don't break an axle.
