For street/strip

what would you recommend? stage 2 heads and stage 2 cams or stage 3 heads and stage 3 cams for a 2v engine?

Im considering the long process of buy the parts and building a good strong engine for a twin turbo in the future.

Do a little bit more research first, don't make a decision because of what one person said. You have to look into other things about them. I've read on forums things like how you can't benefit much more from Stage III than you could from Stage II without forced induction, or a different motor all together. Some motors cant benefit anymore than so much. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but why spend more money when it may not even do you any good. Just something to think about.

Well, he does have a point. You will have to think about getting lower gears, a stall converter (for an automatic), definitely new valve springs, and you will have to spin your motor a little higher in the rpm band to realize the true gains (which will probably damage your weak bottom end. I suppose I'll shut the f@(K up now........

lol, if you do a couple major things to your car like putting stage II, stage III parts in, you will usually have to change other things too to accomodate for the other upgrades. You end up having to upgrade most everything else. But if you have the money and will, then go for it. Just do your research before you make big decisions. Go talk to some shops and keep browsing the forums. I am a part of some other forums, look into www.mustangforums.com, their 4.6 section has a lot of good knowledge. (I'm not hating on this one though haha).

i would go with stage 2 cams...stage 3s would sound bad ass but i cant imagine they would be ideal if you were cruising around town with...if its an all out strip car then yea go with the stage 3s. just my opinion

+1 stage 2's will give you plenty more power, and a very nice and lopey sounding idle too, if you want to keep it for mainly a street car. I'm considering putting some stage 1's on mine since I wouldn't have the money for new valve springs and I just wouldn't need them.
