Springs
I asked a question awhile back about the benefit of lowering springs on my GT for drag racing, and the answer was pretty much that they aren't that hott for launching, but still overall worth doing. Someone, I forget who, said something about drag springs. Where can I get a good set of those? What exactly is the difference, and are they good for daily driving as well? Most all of my races or full throttle hauls are on straight roads, I hardly ever get on any curves with the pedal down, mainly because my friend's "amazing handling imports" can't keep up with my mustang on curves. Anyway. Given that I don't really worry about everyday handling, since curves are few and far between, what is a good setup for drag?

Well with a slower car 12-14 second car you will be fine with a set of lowering springs. On my 01 I ran Eibach sportlines in the rear and cut 4 cyl springs up front. Remove the front and rear swaybars and threw on some sticky tires. The car would cut consistent low 1.7 60fts launching at 5k rpm. Keep in mind this was only a 13.0 car.

those steeda springs are almost exactly what I was looking for, thank you. The only question I have now, is what does it mean, to keep you straighter? is there a serous handling issue? I do understand by taking more weight off the front wheels handling might be limited a bit, but is it a huge issue? I'd hate to make my car a projectile at the track...
