4.6 fuel pumps and tanks which way to go?

Ok guys help me out here; I’m down to planning out my fuel system. I should be making about 800 // 900 HP. My feeling is that a 12/16 gal fuel cell trunk mounted and a external Weldon Fuel Pump is the way to go.
Or I can do the tank mod or 03 Cobra tank and the 255s inside the tank. Either way is is a costly mod, on one that has to be done right from the get go, so you master wrenches out there let me know your thoughts W.P.

do not use the focus oumos especailly with that kind of power. def do the cobra take and aviator pumps. your looking at probably over 2 grand for the fuel system

the focus pumpos handle the 225 lph but only at stock fuel pressure. once you put oiver 40 psi on the pumpos the flow rates go down very very dramatically. you can do it but its gonna be so close to the edge that it would scare the crap outa me every time i got on it. do the aviator pumps and still you can put a BAP on it and be good to go

see i would say go with a weldon pump and a return style fuel system with 8an lines but the problem with most of those is that they heat up and the pumps can burn up for street use. If you are just going to be racing it go with the weldon

but the weldon is not made for the variable voltage the pump drivers give for the 99+ cars

Hence the return system for the Weldon application. I agree that at those power numbers (800-900) a return system is required.

How to make horsepower is and age old question, but I made 550hp out of a 327 in the early 70s; been at it awhile. Old school. And I could tell ya but than I have to shoot your "Pony". My thinking is the Weldon with a return system, and other a short drive to a show "My Lil Pony" will live at the track, or some real fine street hunting. Thanks for all the advice. W.P.
