Tremec 3650 trans for $1600?

One of my buddies just called me and said he found a source for new T3650's for $1600 (24 of them). They are 04 GT models - new and complete if anyone is interested. It sounds like a good deal, but I really don't much about these transmissions.

the synchros in 3650s r pretty bad...they are brand new or rebuilt? price is not bad for totally new

Brand new is ok, but I just got a 60k mile 3650 for 500$ shipped.

or just buy a brand new fully built one from pro-motion powertrain for 1500 bucks, why buy stock junk

I found factory new for $800... You could pick up a decent 6spd for that price.

rebuilt would be stock again. a built one from promotion should hold what a normal person would put them thru.

noway in hell would i buy another rebuilt TR3650 unless they upgraded the syncros. Your gunna blow those Syncros after a couple thousand miles.

But then again some people argue its not the trans fault but the Shifters fault. So some say just to buy an aftermarket shifter and your new syncros will never go out. True or not... Im not sure.

D&D performance sells them for 1200. But they are rebuilt but have the Upgraded Syncros in them.
