buying another mustang

i already own a 99 v6 with the mods in my signature, I've have it for 6 months but now its time to move up

I want a black on black or silver and black convertible or hardtop

I found a 2001 GT Triple Black Vert, light bar, 3.73, they said "full suspension mods" which i havent checked out yet, short throw shifter, and cai. the catch is it has 122k mi and they are asking 7900 which i'm pretty sure they will go down on

I found a 99 cobra hardtop for 8500 101k green w beige interior

im also considering 98-02 trans am/camaro z28 or making payments on a GTO/Cobra

now my question is what do you guys think, wait around to find a better deal or talk them down and take it if they good around 5-6k

get a cobra or mach1. IMO, i went from a v6 to the gt in less than a year. i love my GT. but i'd trade it straight up for a Black 04 Cobra

trans ams are quickly becoming more expensive than cobra (depending on condition obviously) especially if youre looking for one with an LS series motor..100k on an ls1 car like an ss will fetch close to 20k seriously.......GTOs are nice cars but they are close to 3800 lbs...and expensive also..they wont want to come down a whole lot on that cobra because its was obviously a past trade in or if its at a privately owned place the guy bought it for say 7500 or so and is trying to flip a profit...cobra is probably your best go here

yeah the TA's are REALLY hard to find ive looked coast to coast and ws6's are 17+

the cobra might be the way to go/i found an 03 for 13k but I have to check it out because thats really low

how much would a motor rebuild/trans reubild be on the gt?

honestly, if you have 5 grand to spend get yourself a 5.0 for 3500 and put 1500 into it.

yeah im open for a 5.0 fox there was one i liked for sale but the guy wanted 9700, but i have 5k ready plus selling or trading my v6

where at? are these at dealships? i go to school in south fl but im in cleveland ohio right now

Just keep looking dude...There are always really great deals that will come around as long as your looking. I would highly recommend you not buy anything with that high of milage (ie. the cars mentioned in the first post). I saw a 99 Cobra with 30k miles for a little over $9000 the other day.

20k? You must pass whatever you are smoking this way! that Cobra is worth more than they are asking, and that GT is a little on the pricey side! I say wait till you find that car that grabs yer nuts and you just have to have! Dont rush into anything!
