CJ Spray isn't a real mod in the sense... I hate it. I say.
It's just a cheap mod. It's a weak solution. If your trying to generate real power, you never half ass it. Sure... sure, go ahead. Boost yourself. Still, it doesn't make you any more powerful in reality, it's temporary. In the actual sense of the word, it is a modifcation. (By the way, No one has EVER managed to use Nitrous to take my cobra, nor my GT, and quite a few have tried. One actually, caught up, stupid little honda too, probably weighed six ounces. Sadly his Nitrous tank ran low, and my raw power ate his face).

as long as the tune is loaded in the car the light does not come on. i have an offroad x pipe on my car. if the tune isnt loaded u will get a light without a question. alot of catted ones still pull a light because the high flow cats flow too much for the sensors. its never really an issue because most people who have a mid pipe tend to have a tuner.

i used the mil eliminators and never had a light come on....i know a few people that run nitrous and would give your cobra a run for its money...most people that use nitrous use it at the track and not so much on the streets...i prefer a blower so its there all the time but nitrous is definitely a real mod.

How is it cheap...
A good kit runs upwards of $1200... My blower did cost me more then that but still... Nitrous is what somene can buy and put on their car...Get a good tune...And play on the weekends at the track...Then take the bottle out and have a normal car again... Sure if you are racing hondas and such with nitrous you will win... Try a real car...I have several friends that run spray that would send you home with your tail between your legs...Bring it to Richmond Dragway...I will get them to come out there...Hell if I still have my nitrous kit then I will throw it on and give ya a run...Then toss my t-trim back on and see how you do against that... Nitrous is a decent poweradder...If someone does not have the money for a blower...Or they jsut want something to play with on the weekend...it is prefect for those people... Have you ever rode in a car with nitrous? Not a import with it...A real car... Its all in the eye of the beholder... |

Id go with:
underpully kit 75mm throttle body and spacer cold air intake Headers and Exhaust 4:10 's Diablo sport or sct cal2 tuner that will give you a nice hp and trq boost. Just remeber that all the HP in the world wont get you anywere if you forget about your suspension and handling and traction. Get good a base before you go all HP crazy. Try the Vortec Cyclone. Itsa cheap little bolt on peice for 60 bucks. Check it out It has a money back garentee so im ganna try it too.

hey MSTGGT00, i have some nitrous and i bet you bring it to the track i will run all over your ass while looking at the sky for the first 75 feet. Hell i bet without the nitrous you still have nothing. Nitrous is just as much a good power adder as blower, turbo. So them guys running 6's with nitrous are just cheating. All i am saying is i will take my half ass power and make you look bad at the track

CJ. Bwah. I'll stick with blowers. Nitrous is just... meh. Not a good solution.
But... hey! If you like it! More power to ya.

Nitrous is cheap to get your foot in the door...But for a full kit with all the extras it can grow to a very expensive mod...

This is funny in retrospect. Thanks to all the help (and a lot of SEARCH use) I have a plan for my car now and hope to have it all done before August, but I'm sure there'll be many more questions between now and then.
But how did my thread come up when I was searching (again) for something? Thanks guys! |

Edit to add springs, depending on how it looks in the new shoes it may get a 1" drop if I can do that and stay at or near factory spring rates. |
