a little skip @ low rpms


here recentley my car has starting to skip. it has 120,000 mi on it. @ 80,000 i changed the plugs, but not the coil boots. i am going to change the plugs probley this weekend. but do i need the coil boots also. i was told i do not just not shur.

Explain what you mean by "skip". Elaborate on it and describe the "skip" a little more.

I had the same thing happen to me I changed the spark plugs and then had the little stutter when i was driving I checked my engine and turned out i had a bad coil. Check that out first it might be it

my brother had the same problem. he changed the spark plugs and did some msd coil packs and everything was alright after that. runs like a champ

Are the coils supposed to have those springs in the end of them? When I pulled mine off I think only 2 had springs at the end of them and 6 didn't.

it seldomly skips @ low rpms 5th gear up a hill 1200 rpms. sometimes @ when idle it will act as if it is loading up. no power that i can tell is lost. just a little skip sometimes. it dont matter if cold or hot.
