easy way to tell if its the battery. on mine when it went dead it was to the point of it not even clicking but my idiot lights and guages moved, when i tryed cranking it my guages tried to sweep over and bad but were very erratic, also my theft light was really slow and nearly not blinking at all when it was too dead to crank

Check the battery. Its possible it may have enough juice to turn on the electronics but not enough to actually turn the engine over.

this is what I was getting at... if you battery is drained, when you turn the key, the gauges will do a sweep to each side

Cold weather is HARD on batteries. We had a spout of nights in the teens down here and every morning that week my car would struggle to crank over. This week it's been somewhat warmer with lows in the high 30s and she cranks right on over...
My guess is that the cold weather is just taking it's toll. Try to let the system prime up as well by click it twice before actually cranking it up. If it doesn;t crank by the 3rd time trying, don't try it for a little bit and call someone.

Mine has the same problem, and its NOT the battery. I've been trying to figure out this problem for a couple weeks. The guy at advanced auto says it could be the starter going on its way out

thanks for everyones help. ill let you guys know if it doesn't work. Edit** the battery is brand new pretty much. Drove 1,000 or 2000 miles on it.
