Wheels question

Ok I'm going to show my uneducated side here. We are looking at putting new wheels on the Mustang. SO what's the differance between polished and chrome. What are the pro's and con's of each.
THanks
Jon

The Look. Chrome is bright silver like mine and polished can be any color. Pros and Cons are up to you and your likes and dislikes.

Chrome is nice but that chips too easy. And Polished, lets just say polished is not the way to go with rims, they scratch and scuff WAYYYY too easily. I would say get the Bullit wheels in black powdercoat, but thats just me.

i say go with some polished aluminum centerline telstars. 15X4's for the front and 15X8's for the rear. you'll love them, i do.

i have never had a problem with my polished rims. as long as you take care of them and polish them every once and awhile, they are fine. there alot of cleaning products out there that leave a coating on your rims, which helps them stay cleaner a little longer. no problems with the polished style here.

I don't have a specific brand or style just yet. 5 spoke maybe. I've got 245 17's on it now all the way around. I'm lookin to put 18's on it in 245's.

I looked at some American Eagle Alloy's tonight at the local wheel and tire place. They said they would hook me up at about $163 before the 10% military discount. But that was a quick stop just too look at what they could order up for me.
Anyone got any suggestions for us?

either set will look great! Hell I'll sell you my 18x9. I bought them for my V6 Stang before I traded it. This what they look like This also where I bought them. Never mounted. Still in the boxes. Only took them out to put coats of wax on them. They have been in my basement for about a year now.

I'm thinking of these wheels but have yet to find the tire I want on it. The web site I found them on had a package deal w/Wanli tires.

I don't think they are too flashy, considering what's on the market right now.
I thought they were pretty reserve.

I never understood it when people say that. It's not like they're spinners. What would make those too flashy. Is there some unwritten rule that mustangs can either be fast and plain or flash and stock? I don't get it!

I thought the black inserts on the wheels would look good against the other black items on the car. We want to leave the car without rocker pannel stripes, add the insert lettering on the rear bumper and call it good from there. Simple but classy, not over done.

So what would you call this? Nice or too flashy?

I'm with you. You might get thier before me, but I'll look bet when I arrive! LOL

My friend Mark, who got me into Fords, Is real big on keeping it with the factory look. I think of it as a open canvas to make whatever you want with, unless you want a competion orange stang with pink flames. That's where I draw the line.
