Rear defrost broke


Whats goin on ever since i bought my car the rear defrost didnt work and than one day i started takin the dash apart and found that it was unplugged so i plugged it in. The thing is the rear defrost stays on even when the ignition isnt on anybody got an idea???? well the light is anyway not sure if the windows heats up or not.

i havnt tried anything yet. thought id ask around for ideas first do you think i could use my fog light switch to see if it works?

well i plugged it in to see if the rear window even heats up but nothing and of course the switches have keys so i cant try on of those i guess i gotta wait and see if i cant find another switch i hope its only the switch and not the wiring cuz that would suck

more then likely the switch itself is stuck, the internal components that turn it on and off

i hope so idk if it helps but when i depress the switch it gets brighter and when i release it it dims again

I'd swap a relay from something.. like horn, ign, ect..

if it turns off, bingo. stuck relay.

I dont own a 99-04.

owners manual.. if its a fuse, its the switch.
