'01 vs '03 Cobra Engine Specs?

Does anyone know the main differences between the 01 and 03 cobra engines? Like block, pistons, rods, # bolts on mains, heads etc? Are the 01 engines any good for a turbo build? About how much HP are they capable of holding reliably?

01 cobras have either WAP or teksid aluminum blocks, termis have irons. pistons are hyper 3cc dish in a n/a 4v, termi's have a dished forged piston. 99's ahve the powder rods, termi's manley h-beams. the termi heads have a better exhaust port. if you have a teksid 01, they are capable to hold 1000+.

Ok so the 03-04 have forged rods and pistons and 01's do not. Does a WAP AND Teksid have 4 (6) bolt mains? Whats the approx safe HP the 01 can handle in stock form? Whats the compression on the 01?
I cant find the specs anywhere.

I found that the Teksid have 4/6 bolt mains and the WAP have 2/4, and the compression is 9.85.

03-04's also have arp hardware in the bottom end...

The 01's engine can handle around 500. I've seen some people running 515-530 no problems and other people run 500 w/ problems. Sometimes it's a hit and miss. I don't plan on passing 475. Rather be safe than sorry.

they are very different engines. the 03-04's have a supercharger on them and the internals are capable of 800 or more RWHP in stock form. a 2001 cobra has the aluminum block and doesn't have forged internals. they are about the same strength as most other mod motors - 450ish rwhp is safe. anything over that is hit or miss.

and thats what people say, i personally am afraid to break 400 on my stock bottom end

the 96+ cobras have 8 bolt forged cranks, no worry's there. the 01 cobras had either the teksid or WAP blocks, easily be able to tell looking at the block. the WAP blocks can hold 600 before getting to a point to start looking for a different block, the teksid will hold more. the stock motors yeild around a 10.2:1 compression, less onthe termi motors. both WAP and teksid block has same main cap bolt bolt config, with the only exception the teksid has jackscrews as well with the side bolts. the WAp only has side bolts.

I would run 435rwhp and call it a day. Thats were I would leave my car. Also leave it rich at WOT.
