seems more for ricers, i figure if you have enough power, you dont need nos, although the extra helps sometimes, but id just never do it

I would say no, Nitrous is a very touchy subject, and if your engine isnt built the right way, you can do some serious damage to it. Even if it is done the right way, i have seen pistons shoot through the hood of a guys car after something went terribly wrong. And also some guys corvette caught on fire because of it.

youll be fine do the nitrous. its cheap and gives great power gains. your stock motor will handle a 100 shot easily. it would be very wise though for you to have a tuner retune for the nitrous on a dyno. you dont want to kill your motor and youll be fine as you dont spray the piss out of it at every stoplght and you have a good tune in the computer

i am all about nitrous, but thats if you have a built motor. My motor is built for 1000hp so i am running a 150 shot to start out and upping to a 200 later down the road. But for a stock motor i say no, and its not a ricer thing either, ricers don't run 6 seconds with nitrous like the pro-5.0 cars do.

the guys corvette caught fire becasue the nitrous pooled up in the intake and thats what caused the explosion. your cobra or gt will be fine as long as you tune for it and dont beat the hell out of it all the time

I haven't ruled it out for my car. The only thing I have against it is (the way I'd set it up) that you'd only get it at WOT. I'd prefer something that you can enjoy at all rpms like a supercharger. That's a whole heck of a lot more money, though it's likely what I'll end up doing.

NNNNNAAAAAWWWWWSSSSS for teh win!

I haven't finished my kit yet but I personally know a couple of others with otherwise stock mustangs that have and it hasn't hurt them any yet. I'll be spraying a 150 shot and never look back. If it blows then I'll get it rebuilt. But as long as you don't spray everytime you drive then it'll last longer than a car with a super/turbocharger where your under boost almost all the time. Just get the full safety set up and a great tune from a reputable shop and you won't have anything to worry about. Plus nitrous makes great torque numbers, and that's what matters the most!

Haha Nitrous is a back and forth subject. I dislike it, but it can be some fun... plus, it does unquestionably give you some nice power gains.

I believe that if you are going to be at the track a lot then get the nitrous. If you are mostly just using the car as a daily driver then dont put it in. First of all it illegal to spray on the streets and not to mention if you have a full bottle in the back and u get rear ended you blow up. Not just the motor, the whole damn car!!
