i am gonna do just the basic bolt on gt for now and i would go with the JLT CAI, flowmaster catback, upr offroad x pipe, nice set of headers, accufab throttle body and plenum, 4:10 gears, its auto so get a shift kit and a torque converter with a decent stall and then the tune and u should be happy with that setup

anybody thinking about getting a tuner from American Muscle needs to read the following disclaimer on their site

Offer only valid for customers who have purchased an SCT Livewire, X3, X2, or four bank-chip and new parts that require the need of a new tune from AmericanMuscle.com. Some exclusions apply including, but are not limited to: Parts not purchased from AmericanMuscle, Parts that require a Dyno Tune, Non-Mustang Cars, Mustangs build before 1987, Carburetors, Non-Stock FI, Speed Density Systems, Non-Stock Heads, Non-Gasoline Fuels, Crate Motors, Major Engine Work and ALL aftermarket superchargers and turbo's. The Free Tunes for Life offer is only valid for the original owner of the tuning device.

Anybody wanting an SCT tuner look to Tricktuners.com , he wont leave you high and dry at the first modification outside of the box listed above

Anybody wanting to go with Sniper hit me up thru PM or at dirtydirtyracing@yahoo.com , Snipers kits allow for nitrous , blower and turbo tuning right out of the box and I will also provide support far beyond what American Muscle will , I think alot of people are going to be disappointed by AM when they realize they add something that is not included in the list above and they get told the old same saying , "you have to go to an SCT dealer to get your car tuned"

I agree with the above post. Everyone always points out "free tunes for life from am" yes theyre a great business and such but when you read closely it appears that their "free tunes for life" only applies if A.the new part you want your tune modified for is bought from them and B.the tune is restricted to smaller bolt ons.

Im not saying american muscle is a bad place but it just seems like everyone hops on the "free tunes for life" bandwagon w/o understand what the guidelines are.

exactly the point I was trying to make , I know they mean well , and I have bought from them in the past myself , but their disclaimer and way of doing business like this is going to bite them in the butt in the long run once their customers start adding more mods

dont buy a new exhuast find one locally and save big money

what you need is
throttle body and plenum your choice in brand
steada underdrive pullies
jlt intake
mac prochamber h-pipe
nitto 275/40/17 drag radials rear tires
nx express nitrous kit-125shot
tune should be around 300-350

you should have plenty of money left over to install stuff you dont know how to install

and you would have a very decent mustang probably trapping around 113-115max
