I heard the tfs was bigger? Plus a whole lot cheaper and I don't change all the other stuff that has to be done with the bullit. alternator. fuel rails etc.

There are actually a lot of options out there for intakes.

If you are simply looking for a metal intake manifold to survive your nitrous, the hardball intake from Texas Hot Rods and a the Typhoon intake are a decent piece. The Typhoon however, has unreliable fitment and power gains. Both are supposed to improve, but they are both only going to show at high rpm.

If you want a piece that is metal, strong and adds decent performance, the Trick Flow Track Heat intake, the Bullit Intake and the P-51 intake are very good intakes. They are a step above the metal pieces from Tehas Hot rods and Typhoon, in power gain and qulity. They are all proven, very good performing and well built intake manifolds, but they also cost a bit more, and often require new fuel rails for fitment.

Reichart and Logan Motorsports make sheet metal intakes that are pretty much the best pieces you can buy. No torque loss with huge power gains. The most powerful N/A mustangs on the road are running one of the 2. However, they are expensive and don't fit under a stock hood. They are monster pieces, built for monster machines. You dont' have to have a 11:1 compression 7k rpm stroker to take advantage of them, but they will definitely put your beast into a new level.

I did a lot of research on this a while back. Figure out your price range and what your goals are. There is no point getting a Logan Intake if you never plan on doing more than putting in new cams and a 75 shot. You should just stay stock for that. But if it comes down to the difference of Bullit or Trick Flow vs. Reichart, thats a tougher call.

the reichard intake in a good intake, but not great n/a. the intake is a very short runner, but will hsine under boost. the p51 is not as great as they try to make it out to be either. the logan is a nice piece but also is $1600. the tfs hasnt had much review on it, but from the little i have heard isnt that impressive. the hps intake is a nice piece, but again, i havent heard enough feedback on it to convince me to go buy one yet.

When I do Hi Tech motorsport stage 2 cams Im lookin at the Trick Flow Heads and Manifold. Done all at once.

Im looking at redoing my motor next year. looking at getting a short block stroked and bored .20
Im staying N/A as well. Im looking at getting the most hp possible and safely while staying N/A.

Was wondering, if you upgrade your Manifold, Cams, Heads. Could you run bigger injectors than stock and would be a power gain??? jw

Was curious anyone hear about the Victor Jr manifold???

Also I looked up the trick flow manifold. What is needed with it? I noticed you need to get a throttle body and a inake kit as well Im assuming.

Is there any full kits? where it comes with everything needed?

I have heard of the stock plastic intake manifolds cracking under pressure and was wondering how much they can take?

the typhoon intake only gains 21hp with comp cams 270's and a 75mm throttle body + plenum. the intruction sheet actually says that. i got mine for a great price and my plastic one cracked.

victor intake's are almost a strip use intake manifold. the tfs intake is almost a complete kit, dont need too much to make them work.

they can take a lot, they are supseptable to nitrous backfire, but will handle quiet a bit of boost.

they are still junk. if you look at the sheet, the power and torque curve is still less under 4k rpm's.

ok Cause I know they sell 2 different victor jr manifolds. A Carb and a EFI.
Only problem I dont know anyone with that manifold with a dyno.

THe Foxlake P-51 is a great intake, it just requires a few mods. The TFS intake does have a kit that you can buy it in from Trick Flow. Also, since most of our mustangs are expected to be boosted to get power, most intakes are designed with that in mind. That is why the best ones are expensive sheet metal pieces. They are all semi-custom pieces made by racing companies. The limited production just makes them expensive. With a N/A set up, you need to be pushing higher RPM's and definitely have some new bump sticks. With a totally built motor, any of the aftermarket parts will work great. They just tend to be minimal upgrades when you don't have the internals/cams/heads to make em flow.

As for your injectors, you will want to upgrade them, the stock 19lbs injectors are only rated to 300 hp. You should increase to 24lbs or more to support a fully built N/A car. Estimates are 450 hp with the new TF heads, Logan motorsports intake, stroked and poked 4.6 at 7k+ rpm. Big numbers, but you got to get the whole package to make it work.
