Might it work as an orifice plate? Large amounts of air flow being restricted into a smaller hole would result in a higher pressure, though with less volume. I don't know, just a thought.

I found a guy who built these for 90mm tb who's going to let me have a sweet deal to help him develop it for the oval cobra body TB. By my calculations I should have just a little less than 700 in the entire set up. I hope this intake works for me.

I know the thread is a little old. I have bought the Edelbrock intake and the MMR adapter.
I got the adapter today and the intake is coming monday along with my head gaskets. I
will be running my accufab upper and 70mm FMS TB. I have my shortblock together and hope the have the engine complete monday evening. I was shifting my car at 7000rpm anyway, so maybe this intake will allow me to rev it further. I'm selling my HPS intake and new Fore rails.

I almost went with that intake just didn't want to use the adapter plate. It's just choking it back down a little in my IMO. I'm sure it will be better that than the HPS though even though it wasn't bad either. I absolutley love the tfs intake.

Do you plan on any more boost. You made like 660 with 24psi through the C4 didn't you?

It made 656 with 20psi. I don't see it choking down with the opening being the same size as the upper plenum. I will for sure find out how it performs and post the info. I won't add anymore boost until I can get down the track with 20psi. I still haven't done that yet.

No it won't choke it down from what you had before but it limits the full potential of that intake. It has the huge 4 barrel opening and that adapter plate cuts down half it's size. I feel at least a 90mm tb and elbow needs used to take full advantage of it. But of course that opens another can of worms. It should out preform the HPS regardless.

You can tell how efficient the turbos are by how much power you're making. I waste a 1/3 of the hp my SC makes just turning it.
