You guys sure do know how to spend money. I have less than 8k in my motor and Twin kit. And the twins cost me 4500...so add that up.
It doesn't cost that much to go fast. For that HP level you DO NOT need a forged crank. Your cast crank will hold up fine...how do I know...Im running one. 700ish RWHP and its still going strong, I have run this same crank in the motor N/A, P1 and D1 boosted then turbos. They are nothing to laugh at. If you plan on tracking it a lot and hooking up off the line, I would suggest a good forged Cobra/Kellogg crank. Grunting it off the line puts a lot of stress on parts, but if you keep it on the street, that crank would live forever. Trust me. Im not easy on mine and I have less than a grand in my bottom end...
