Forged internals?

So I am toying with the idea of doing forged internals for my 04 GT. I want to get a good setup but with out spending both arms, legs, and a seed maker. I want something that is not the cheapest but also not the most expensive too. I'd like to rebuild my stock block with forged pistons, rods, crank and what ever else I would need. I know, I know I will have to do the top end as well, but I have a good idea about what I want to do for that. It's just the block this has me thinking. An good ideas?

Daily driver/drag and track racer. Thinking around 450-to 520ish at the wheels, but I would want it to be able to handle 700-750hp. Just in case I want to add a turbo, blower,or spray to it later.

But the way I see it. If your going to build a good motor, you need a great base.

Yea the block would have to be cleaned and all. I just want to try and keep it the same size and not have to bore it over.

I say boost the crap out of it to about 400 hp without forged internals. Thats right around where you can be with stock insides but at 400 hp you can have fun now and when you do build it, up the boost.

You're going to have a hard time hooking up with 400 hp so after I boosted it, I'd build the rear. Then I would try to up the hp.

This is kind of an impatient way to have fun but thats what I'd do.

there is a ford racing dealer not to far from me. I just think that there is a less expensive way of getting of getting the same kind of power and strength from my motor. Is it possible to build a motor with forged internals without have to bore the block? Everything i have found or been told means boring the block out a min of .30 over.

Yes its possible. What youre reading might be referring to using a used block? In which case you would want to bore it.

i know a guy thats selling a forged shortblock for 2 grand with:
Brand new FRPP 4.6L Romeo Block (Torque plate finish honed)
ARP Main Studs
Diamond 19cc Pistons (2V Valve Reliefs)
Modmax H Beam Rods (ARP 2000 rod bolts)
Federal Mogul HP Series Main/Rod Bearings
6 bolt B series Cast Crank

As mentioned above, all parts are fully machined and balanced and ready for assembly. This shortblock will withstand 600+rwhp.

Yea it would most likely take me a year if not 2 years to build the motor I want. I just want to make sure the car gets paid off first.
