OK, I want to know what the best tire is that you've used on your GT's or Cobra.

I want to know how well they did in

Rain
Dry street
Dragstrip
How they rode (wierd sounds, like a brick, out of round?)
Did you track them? If so how did they perform?


Not that it matters much, but how many miles (or months/years) did you get out of them?

Would you buy them again?

How much were the tires each, how much after tax mounted and balanced on your car, and where did you buy/get the work done?

If you bought them online, how much shipped to your door? How much did the locals charge to mount and balance since you didn't buy the tires from them?

FUZION ZRI i love themm they look awsome! an have rim protecter ... and they are suprior in rain.. an hoooked awsome at track... if not better than my nt555...

but not better than nt555r.. well cause there DR's but... for being a DR theyr good in the rain

GSD3's or ones by bfg which are almost the same...I'll have to look and see which ones they are.

*disclamer: I have this on my 400hp vette but if they can handle that should should handle anything my stang can throw at them

I run the PS2 on my Winter wheels and will replace them this Summer:
... Fine in the rain, but don't push them at all in the wet.
... I previously ran the GS-D3 and MUCH prefer the Michelin PS2.
... I have about 15K on the PS2's and would probably get 20K~22K if lucky
... Wonderful traction in the dry.
... they ride just fine as my suspension drowns any noise they may create
... have not tracked them, but would if I didn't have Summer tires.
... about $1750 installed

I run Toyo R888's on my Summer wheels:
... Spectacular dry traction
... VERY cautious in the wet
... Have autoX'd them and were wonderful
... Hoping to get 10K out of them
... about 2K installed

BFG DRs are my favorite so far. I've also had the dunlop super sports, and the BFG KDs. The BFG DRs are great. They hook nice and even have good traction in the water. But if they start getting bald (like right away) they spin up and hydroplane in water over about 1/4" deep. They lasted about 7000mi. I just put some nittos on, but have not tested them out yet. They drove nice, and cornered well too. I thought the KDs would be similar, but no way in hell, the DRs hook 10x better.
