Short Throw Shifter

Has anyone heard of the MGW short throw shifter or used one in that case. I just saw an article in the magazine I was looking at and it looked pretty sweet just was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. I just put the T-56 in my car and was wondering what shifter to go with. i just have the stock shifter in right now. I had the PRO 5.0 before in my 3650 and it was pretty good just wondering how this MGW performed and if it was worth the buy. It goes for $179.00 on MGWltd.com.

I have the old MGW for the 3650 with the Red handle. They used to come with eihter the blue handle (very short throws) or the Red Handle (short throw, but for cruising). Now they only come with the orange handle which is a compromise between the blue and red. So far almost everyone who has use the MGW LOVES this shifter. I know I do!

If you now have the T-56 I may have just saved you some money.

They are great shifters...

Me personally I prefer the steeda tri-ax myself...

Never saw these before today, but they look like they might come back a little further than the steeda. I was going to buy a stedda on ebay the other day for $100, but I missed the end of the auction.

Really!?! I keep putting off getting on because I thought, "How big of a difference can it be?" There was a tri ax on ebay for $100 last week and I didn't buy it because I figured I'd rather get a different mod.

I loved my tri-ax, and I got that after the mac short shifter. Even going from one short shiter to the tri-ax I felt a substantial difference. Worth every penny.

ive had both and i liked the mgw but i still occasionally missed 3rd gear with it. i traded it in for a tri-ax and rarely do i miss gears now unless i just rush myself. anyways i say go for the triax

I had the PRO 5.0 with my 3650 and from the stock shifter to the PRO 5.0 it was a substantial difference. It is unbelievable how much shorterit is. The stock shifter is ridiculously long. Def get a short shifter!

Can you use the stock shift-knob with an aftermarket short-throw shifter? It sounds good, but I'd like to keep it stock looking.
