IRS swap to 03 GT

I have a 2003 GT and Im more about the handling than the straights. I know that the Cobra guys like to swap out the IRS for the SRA, but Im actually looking to go the other way. I realize that the IRS has its weak points, but I plan to address those. My question is: how involved is this swap? Has anyone here done it? Am I gonna run into anything above and beyond the scope of my garage and jackstands?
FYI: My other plans involve a full suspension, built alum. block/4v heads, built T56, and either a KB 2.6 or a single turbo. Any thoughts would be appreciated on that subject as well.
Thanks

Actually...its easier to put an IRS up and hang it than it is to do a solid.

What do you want to know. I have it on my 99 GT.

Im really just wondering in general. Did you have any trouble with yours? Is it a straight up swap or is there some fab work to be done? What all do I need to pull from the parts bin?
