let me emphasise on that a little more before there is incorrect/misleading info on this. the small section of little wire is not the weak link on a fuel system that is not having intensified current running thru it (ex BAP). single pump per fpdm (no matter the fuel pump) or single fpdm on 03/04 stock cobra pumps, that set up as i did will be plenty. modified fpdm's running stronger pumps should have the wire upgraded into and out of the fpdm. plenty of guys dont do it, some dont even do the wire upgrade at all, and most of them have no issue.

if you upgrade the wire in and out of the fpdm, that is going one step further than i did to fully do the job. the way i did it isnt the wrong way, just taking a short cut that has no ill effect on my and most people set up.

hope this clears up what i have have said and why i said it.

yeah man... i feel what you are saying. When i get my GT pumps and mod FPDM in, Im just going to go ahead and run the wire completely. Might as well. Im just so damn paranoid of tuners saying "your running out of fuel so I cant finish"!

Just get an automotive 40 amp relay, napa might sell em but if anyone wants to order it online Here's a list of parts I put together and a website you can buy it all from:

070-660 - Waterproof AGU Fuse Holder
070-922 - Gold AGU Fuse 40A 5 Pcs.
095-661 - Gold Ring 8 AWG 1/4" 2 Pair
330-080 - 12 VDC 5-Pin Relay Socket Interlocking Style
330-073 - 12 VDC Automotive Relay SPDT 30/40A
100-178 - 8 AWG Red High Current Power Cable 1 ft x 17 (aka 17')

You can use 10AWG or 8AWG, I ended up using 8AWG. You should be able to get most of this stuff too from local stereo shops.

Great thread. I will be performing this on the weekend on my build to gain some DC. Will log it and compare to before the change. I plan to use the short runs into and out of the FPDM and T into the hat. Let the data logs I will take prove disprove the theories in this thread
