Headers


ight i have a set of bassani mid length headers, that i have yet to install. now i do already have a bassani O/R Xpipe installed. now i plan on getting aftermarket heads and cams. so becuase i have found no easy way to do the headers im going to wait till i do my head swap. unless someone can tell me a much easyer way to install them. such as not lifting the engine 4 inches. ok so now i want to also ask. i was planning on going the the patriot peformance heads but since i have joined i have heared some bad things about them. truly was is so bad about them? im planing on going with the crower st3 highlight n/a cam. adv duration 266 Lobe 270 280 Valve 284 duration @.050 220 Lobe 224 238 Valve 242 Gross lift w1.8 .590 / .601 ight guys so now i need advice. is there a easy way on the headers. is patriot performance ok?

the headers are simply a pain in the ass. no easy way around it unless you pull the motor out the bottem and then put em on the engines and then put the engine into the car.

as for patriot, there are no problems with them. they had a bad run when they first started making heads. i have seen no problems as of lately and know several people who have them on the mustangs and lightning and not a one of them has had a problem. they are good head for the money and if your wanting to save some moeny they are a great way to go. dont listen to ALL the bullshit you hear on the internet

They are great heads don't listen to anyone that says they aren't especially for the money.

For the shorty and mid-legnth headers, you can put them on the heads when you have them out of the car and install them together, I have had to do this to get mine tight.

Also, search for "stage 8 header bolts" on ebay, they are a life saver.

They "lock" on to the header flanges and won't back off. Believe me, they will be well worth the price....
