tire size.

Ok, i just picked up a 2000 gt, and i was wondering, what is the largest size tires that can go on the back? I was thinking of getting 245 in the front and 275's in the back, what do you think, would 315's look too gordy?

well thats the thing, they came with the ugly ass alloy wheels, and i plan on getting the bullitt wheels for them, i was think 17x9 in the back with 275 tires, and 17x8 in the front with 245 tires. I was wondering if 17x10.5 on 315s would be too big for the rear.

nah go with the 17x10.5 in the back with a 295 or 315 and 17x9 in the front with a 265. 265's fit square and flush on a 9" rim

heck no get the 17x10.5 in the rear and get 315's they look sweet. Also get the 17x9 for the front w 255's in front. That is what most people will tell you on here. Look at my car I have 275's on the 17x10.5 bullitt's and they bubble a little I am about to get the 315's next week. Sumitomo for the front and rear.

nah these cars have like 8.75in clearence from the studs to the inner fender with the quad shocks removed. i'm gonna get a 12in rim and i measured it i'm gonna have to have a 9in backspacing with 3in on the lip but 9in of backspacing is gonna be reeeeeal close.

you will probably want to either flip your quad shocks or remove them completely.

look i would highly recommend going with the 10.5 inch rim in the rear with the 315. and a 245 in the front. cause i didnt go with it and now im havn to go back and do it. so i would recommend it. but it also depeneds on what u need them for and what not. if ur not going to race it alot then u dont need it. uknow.

i know that atleast 275's will fit on the bullit and mach 1 rims, i dunno how wide they are but i think 275 is the largest you can go on a stock wheel. I dunno what will fit your wheel. But if you having to get new wheels i would also get like a 10 inch rim and mount some 315's cuz it wont really cost you that much more anyway.

Ok, since I'm really bent on buying the 315's I have to take the quad shocks out? What do the quad shocks do? If they are meant to be there ill just leave them.

You don't have to take the quads off to put 315's on....
