I'm still considering trying to get them produced but 4 big players have backed out already after having accepted the product so I'm not certain that anyone will ever make them for retail sale.

If any of you guys own an exhaust shop and want to play LMK. Prefer pacific timezone peeps for logistical reasons.

Got the car back from tuning and header install.

Final numbers were a little disappointing if you're stuck on peak power numbers. Made 300/332 with a conservative tune. Could have probably yanked 5-10 more from it but I didn't want to go that ratty with the tune. Tq is over 300 to the wheels from 2200-5200rpm which the guy we hired seemed to like and compared to a kenne bell equipped car's curve.

I'm pretty sure I got taken on the deal that got me my heads. So, now it's either sell it or put a set of race ported TF heads and a better cam on it and shoot for 400.

Now then, real world numbers from the dyno run off (all these numbers are from the latest series of dyno pulls... we did a LOT of pulls):

5.4 + adapter plates + MODDED HPS 4.6 intake + shorty headers = 271/323
5.4 + HPS 5.4 intake + shorty headers = 281/333 (intake netted 10hp/10tq)
5.4 + HPS 5.4 intake + longtube headers = 300/332 (headers added 19hp/-1tq)

There's still another 15-20hp corked up in it without touching the heads. I need to look at a larger snorkel on the CAI and putting in some electric exhaust cutouts among a few other little details. The driving part is startling. It's not just a little faster than before despite the peak numbers being fairly close. It's a lot stronger at the bottom end and pulls harder the whole way through. I have to be extra careful in first and second gears now or it gets away from me pretty quick.

here's a vid of the last dyno run

Nice, r3d!!! Bro, do not sell it! You have too much heart into this project. You'll hate yourself for it later. Wait until some numbers come out on the TFS heads and if they prove worthy, toss them on there and a better cam and see what she'll put down.

DON'T SELL IT!!!

the TFS heads should flow 290cfm with good porting so if I keep it those will definitely be part of the equation.

I think you'll be happy you kept it especially if the TFS heads really make better power than P&P heads.
