Are you wanting a complete keyless push start, or one where you still have to put the key in and turn it to the on position.

I know the one where you use the key all you have to do is put a switch between one of the constants(Thick yellow wire....there should be 4-5 of them, you can use any of them) and the starter wire(white/pink) from the ignition cylinder

I'm going to be starting on a little project soon where its going to be completely keyless. Hopefully it works out the way i want it too

I want one where I can still use the key, I had a good idea of where I can mount it but I wasn't expecting the actual button and everything to be so large, but Im looking for one so if you know where I can getone it would be greatly appreciated. and that would be awesome to make it completely keyless but I dont want my car to be gone one day when I forget to lock it

The way im going to do it, it will be completely done with switches so no keys are needed. I plan on having a toggle switch that would be the equivalent of turning the key to the on position, then i'll have a momentary toggle switch for the starter

(that is if everything goes to plan )

mount what spare key?
I'm going to use my tuner to turn off the PATS system, then make a series of switches coming off the ignition cylinder. I will leave the original wires intact as i want to be able to still use the key if needed.

You can't use a normal toggle switch for the starter...The starter needs a momentary switch

Turning off PATS isn't in one of the user definable options sadly...It has to be turned off using the pro racers software (that is if your using an SCT product...Dont know about the other tuners) so that you have full control over the cars computer

A tuner is for tuning.... now we have different "trim" levels of tuning? WTF people dont stand up for that.

lets just have 8 versions so I can pay 5 times as much for the *real* tuner that just lets me tune things without guessing my skill level.

Obviously I bought a tuner, that means I want to tune..... Never heard of this "Pro" tuner crap.... sad.

Maybe I can pay with "somewhat serious" money. They probably wouldnt like that idea.

Dont get too worked up now

There is a difference between a the SCT tuners and the Pro racers software. The tuner is just that...The device used to upload tunes to the car, and to datalog

The pro racers software is the software used by professionals to actually make those tunes that you have on your tuner. Most people just send their datalogs to others such as joe@tricktuners and he uses the software to make a tune for your car. So if you want to turn your PATS off, just ask whoever your getting your tune from to turn it off...simple
