Cool

Whats the next mod?

I have $700 dollars from my tax return coming in the next three weeks. I am looking into what mod will be the best for the buck. It dosent have to just be one 700 dollar part. I just cant decide what would be worth it. I know thats not alot of money but it should buy some hp.

1998 GT

Mods include:

2004 GT engine.
upper and lower intake spacers.
Cold Air intake.
Stadge 2clutch.
Spec flywheel.
h-pipe.
Flowmaster.

I was thinking of a tunner..would it be worth it?

Thanks!

1 "big thing" id try to do cams on a budget, but even then it would come out to more than $700 given you dont already have a tuner

for a few things id go for a plenum, subframe connectors, tuner w/ email tune, and a few other odds and ends

Tuner. Then gears next time you have money.

The tuner would be needed to calibrate the speedometer for a gear change anyway.

Thats because you can do the install yourself so it would save you some money. LOL.... Hey ajm.... after your cam install, who tuned your car?

I wanna say it was something like $400 for the x3 and tune. No datalog, I just sent a list of stuff I had and he threw it together and mailed me the tuner w/ the tune on it.

a tuner is always worth it & should be a 1st purchace IMO. it wouln't give you much h/p but is pretty much nessary for any h/p mod. you can pick one up used for around 200 & still have some left over (in your case next buy would be shifter) good luck.
