X-pipe compatibility question

I am about to make a deal for that used x pipe i found, Bassani part number 4699-3.

However everywhere i read, it says "99-03" and I have an 04. Why does this not say "99-04" like i think it should?

Will these work on my GT?

maybe it says up to an 03 bc the 04's need an 02 sensor extension or something like that? Just a wild guess...im not too familar with all the exhaust bs and what parts will fit what since it doesnt interest me very much.

According to americanmuscle.com itll work with an 04, but it does state "The 2004 manual GT mustang requires the use of O2 extenders, see drop down option above".

Alright maybe but i need a full answer i cant buy this and put it up on a lift to figure ive just screwed myself out of 250 dollars.

Reread my post..i made an edit. According to american muscle it will work with an 04 although once again...you will need the o2 sensor extensions.

I think youll be fine. Like the other post said, i guess the one place you got info from just said up to 03 bc the extensions.

that is what I was going to say the only diff between the 00-03 x and the 04 x on bassani web site is the O2 extensions come with the 04.

They should just list it as 99-04 and make a note about the 04's for the simple minded people like me.

Just for the record even if it wasnt because it doesnt have the o2 sensor you could still run it you would just have a check engine light right?

no matter what with an 04 you will need o2 extensions for any midpipe.

cant "just leave them off" even if they are shut off with a tune the computer needs the refrence signal.
