Vortec Help Please.

I found a Vortec v1 with complete kit for for a 1999 Mustang GT.
Its $800 and it just needs new seals. Is this a good deal?

did it "fall off the back of a truck"? how many miles are on it. i only ask cause that price is too good to be true for a complete kit. and usually if something's too good to be true, you're probably getting screwed.

I found a T3/T4 stage 3 Mustang turbo set for 700 bucks (includes intercooler) . anygood?

i dont know anything about power adders.

a true s/c kit or turbo kit should not be any less then 3 grand. as the cheapest. so if you see anything under that its useless.

i think the super charger is broken. he wont garentee that it wont be DOA. He keeps saying its sold as is and that its used with no warentee. hmmm. ah well. My car aint ready for a super charger yet anyways, but it sounded like a deal.

very well could be real. might bedamaged and need major repairs. which wont be cheap. as for the turbo kit, full of it. a good interooler will cost more than that entire kit

Both of the kits are garbage i would be willing to bet money on it...

Check around sites you can get a supercharger set-up for 2500-3700 used and around 4200 new...

Also did he say it was a S-Trim? T-Trim?

t3/t4 New $700 turbo setup.
I was just browsing mustang stuff on ebay and i found the Vortec and the t3/t4 a50 turbo kit. I know a little but not enough to know weather or not id be fucked over thinking i got a steal. Thanks.

If you think you know alittle and had to ask if that was a steal you have alot to learn. Turbo/s/c kits are usually at least 3 or more grand. there is a starting point to see.

I know a little about new super chargers but not used. And i dont know anything about turbos. I got allot to learn about boost still. thats why i asked the question. Thanks guys.

That is not a turbo "kit". It is the basic parts kits that you would need to START to build a turbo setup. The manifold and down pipe fabrication are by far the most complicated part of building a turbo setup.
Unless you have some immense piping fabrication experience, you should stay away from that buy.....

Tell the guy with the vortech he can suck the right one...

Buy from reputable people...

People on MPH and most of the people on MD...And of coarse the good people here...

Thought you were thinking about spray?
