ECM question

I have a 1999 GT and I am gonna drop in a 2003 2v and tranny. Am I going to need the ECM for a 2003 or will my 99 work? How about the engine harnass? I am picking up the motor this afternoon and want to make sure I get everything i need. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not a 100% on these swaps, but i have tuned newer motors with older ecus in the past. I didn't hook up anything so i'm not sure on the pinouts. I would get the ecu pinouts for each year and make sure they are the same. For the swap to technically be smog legal it needs the newer ecu and all the new smog equipment.

I have the pin out for the 99 I am searching for the 03, If I can't find it in the next couple of hours I will just grab the ecm and engine harnass out of the wrecked car. I can always get rid of it later if it is not needed.

Thanks for the info.

Does anyone have the pin out for an 03 ecm?

You shouldnt need anything from the 2003 except the motor. You need to use all the sensors from the 99 though... but you should be good to go! Im running a 96 block, 01 heads with a 2000 harness and ecm
